Flippy Hills Game Review

Jump, jump, pike, slow turn and DAMN IT! One of the most annoyingly addictive games I’ve played in a good while. Flippy Hills is a short leveled “puzzle” game, where your goal is to jump from the start to the finish. Produced by Woof Games, it’s a surprisingly fresh take on a lot of the flappy bird clones and is very unique.

Flippy Hills Game Play

Gameplay:

The game generally performs well, though it does dip in FPS when any notification comes through. Also you might want to wait for a few seconds on the first play after opening the app. Sometimes it can be a little sluggish to get everything loaded.

Performance:

Artwork / Design:
I have to hand it to these guys, although it’s quite an abnormal view point, it’s incredibly easy to look at, and is very attractive. The flat designed mixed into a 3d world looks great.

Audio:
I don’t usually play mobile games with audio but the sounds stick to the same level of care and attention as the designs.

Polish:
The finishing touches on this game are great! The slow motion, amusing death animation and other small touches really add a good polish to this game.

Negatives:
You do have to look hard to find any huge flaws in this, but the game-play can be somewhat frustrating. When trying to jump through a level and you keep hitting that spinning saw, I find myself doing nothing more than attempting the same thing over and over until inevitably it works. It’s not a game that requires
an overwhelming amount of thought.
